It is called The Parental Choice For Released Time Credit Act. The goal is to give our public high schools students the option to take an elective faith-based education class, off campus, during their school day. Students will receive two units of elective graduation credit for this class. We are a committee working with Legislators on a new Bi-Partisan Bill, The Parental Choice For Released Time Credit Act; SB-1457 did not garner enough votes to proceed now, but it will return to the Senate floor in the 2017 legislative session.
* update (2019) South Carolina became the first state in 2006 to allow Released Time Credit for High School. It took eight years of hard work for Ohio to become the second state. Now in one single year Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, and Utah have also opened their schools for Released Time Credit!. Continue to Pray for it to Happen in Calif.

Is it Legal?
Churches and individual Christians in the Los Angeles, Inglewood and Inland Empire areas who believe this program is important, and send monthly financial support.

What are the Aims?
Each child is given an opportunity to become a born again believer by trusting Jesus as their personal Savior, memorize scripture and to make Christian standards a part of their lives. Released Time endeavors to reinforce all other Christian training a child receives.
What is Taught?
Using the Bible as the only textbook, the boys and girls are taught moral and spiritual truths which are so badly needed today.
who are the Teachers?
Bible School students, retired school teachers, retired men, and mothers who receive Bible Training make up the staff of believers who are dedicated to the task of teaching Bible classes each week.
Christian Released Time Education is spiritual training allowed by the California Education Code whereby upper elementary grade pupils may receive bible instructions at the request of parents. Students are escorted from the school to a suitable meeting place nearby for Bible classes.
