Released Time Education In Los Angeles, Calif.
- Hold monthly or bimonthly meetings to facilitate the business of Released Time.
- Provide leadership in building a network of ministries and individuals who will help build the program the program both spiritually and financially.
- Appoint a person from among your your group to be the director of the program. If no one feels equipped to perform this work, board members must look outside the group to identify and screen applicants carefully.
- Be involved in activities and events of the Released Time program.
- Secure insurance to cover students, teachers, and board members.

The Executive Board of Directors
Each Released Time program need to have a board of directors. The duties of the board is to conduct the business of the local Released Time program. To start a program the founding members will be the board of directors. The members of the board need to create bylaws to establish the parameters of the organization. The bylaws include mission statements; goals and objectives in order to agree on the direction their Released Time Ministry should take. The bylaws define the duties of the officers: president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. The board has the responsibility of praying, and contacting people to become involved with them in the work of Released Time Christian Education.
The board of directors needs to be comprised of people of various talents and experience in order to conduct business. The board members need to recruit from among their friends seeking specific talents that will help them grow. Ask and keep asking friends to serve. If you don't ask them they will not even know you need their help and they can't say yes or no. Pray and ask for help.
